Welcome to Charlie’s Dog Place. By booking any of our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are designed to protect the health, safety, and well-being of all dogs in our care, as well as to maintain high service standards for our customers.
1. General Terms
All dogs must be up to date with core vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if applicable).
We require proof of vaccinations prior to your dog’s first visit.
Flea and worm prevention must be current.
Dogs must be microchipped and wear a collar with an ID tag.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any dog at our discretion.
2. Day Care
Day care is available only for dogs assessed to be well-socialised and non-aggressive.
Dogs must undergo an initial temperament assessment before attending day care regularly.
Dogs must be dropped off and collected within our opening hours.
Late pick-ups may be subject to additional fees.
3. Boarding
Boarding is available for dogs who have attended day care or a trial overnight stay with us.
Owners must provide enough food for the duration of the dog’s stay or choose to have food provided by us (additional fee applies).
Beds, toys, and other comfort items are allowed, but we are not responsible for loss or damage.
We will follow any prescribed medication instructions provided in writing. There may be a small admin fee for medication handling.
4. Grooming
Prices are estimates and may vary depending on coat condition, dog size, and behaviour.
Severely matted coats may require shaving or additional charges due to extra grooming time.
We will always prioritise the safety and well-being of the dog during grooming.
If a dog becomes too stressed or aggressive, we reserve the right to stop the groom. You will only be charged for the work completed.
Missed appointments or late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) may incur a cancellation fee.
5. Health & Emergencies
In the event of illness or injury, we will contact you immediately. If necessary, we will seek veterinary care at our discretion and at your cost.
You authorise us to act on your behalf in an emergency situation if we are unable to reach you.
6. Behaviour & Safety
Dogs showing signs of aggression, excessive anxiety, or illness may be refused service.
You agree to inform us of any behavioural or medical issues prior to any booking.
We are not liable for any injury, loss, or illness arising from undisclosed behavioural or medical conditions.
7. Payment & Cancellations
All services must be paid for on or before the time of collection.
We accept card payments and secure online payments only.
Cancellations must be made with at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid charges.
Boarding cancellations during peak seasons may require 48–72 hours’ notice.
8. Photography & Social Media
We may take photos or videos of dogs in our care for promotional purposes on our website and social media.
If you do not wish your dog to be included, please let us know in writing.
9. Liability
While we take every precaution, Charlie’s Dog Place is not liable for injury, loss, or damage that may occur during your dog’s time with us, unless due to our proven negligence.
10. Agreement
By booking any of our services, you confirm that:
You are the legal owner of the dog(s) and have the authority to make decisions regarding their care.
